What do you think? I don't have any reason for choosing these two other than they seem to be pretty different...I mean, one's a big, muscly V8 and the other is a refined, 4-cyl, import. Have fun.

Integra GSR even though the Disgustang could beat the Integra in any thing.(0-60, 1/4 mile).Better look for the Integra.

Mustang... the new GT is much better than most any import nut thinks. If only they would drive the car once they might understand that.

Ps- If this were between 98 and older Stangs and Integra GSR's, I would choose the Integra. But Ford has continued to improve upon their Mustang until it's a better buy IMO for any performance oriented enthusiast than the Integra GSR.

I agree with Texan, bu tI would get a Camaro Z28 or Trans Am before a mustang, they are just better performance buys
Integra still super-cool, though.

I shouldn't even post my opinion here, as I am so heavily biased that I think I would choose the Honda no matter what. I will give those GT's a lot of credit, though. I remember back in the fall, when my Teg was JRSC'd and running at full strength, and I could still barely keep up with a 2000 Mustang GT in a road race (I couldn't keep up, but I stayed very close at least - here his abundant torque in speed changing maneuvers just got the better of my car, having so much less torque). But I'd still just much rather work with a GS-R than a 'Stang. And that's all there is to it for me.

In corners, torque comes in handy

Where do you race your Integra?? I would be interested in stories.

Where do I race? Where don't I race?

I know, I need to fire up some stories. I've got lots to share. I had a decent race just yesterday. I was on 84 east (in Connecticut, east of Hartford), heading into Mass., when a 300ZX (probably a '95 or '96) came up behind me. We raced on and off all the way to 90 east, all the way on 90 east to the 95 south exit, where I got off. I got my ass kicked (my car is in pretty rough shape right now, just a limping B18C1, probably with a blown piston ring in the third cylinder, but the I/H/E still help keep me in any race I get into), but it was fun nevertheless. In road races like this, weaving around slower moving traffic, a more ballsy driver can overcome adversaries with more capable cars. Reckless, I know, but I drive to have fun as well as transport myself from place to place. I refuse to give that up.

Anyway, I don't think his was a twin turbo 300ZX (then I really would have gotten my ass wailed on), but he has a clear horsepower and torque advantage on me with his V6, whether he's got the boost, or no boost.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Mustang. It has heritage and true character. Those rising sun cars do nothing for me.

mustang-more modifiable(what CANT you get for a mustang nowadays)-easyier to find parts for-you seem to get more bang for your buck when performing mods.

I agree with the bang for the buck portion, but with the parts availability. True, I hang out in the Sport Compact market/circle, so I know much more about it than the Mustang circles. But I think you’d be hard pressed to find cars with greater aftermarket support than Civics and Integras (even including the all-mighty Mustang).

Actually, the F-bodies have more aftermarket parts than a mustang. And the extra 1.1 liter of displacement, plus 50 more hp from the start, count for something. F-bodies and stangs have better bang for the buck than imports, though.

Heritage and tradition mean Jack Shit. The product is all that matters. Would you buy a Yugo today, only it has a thatch roof and a golf cart engine, for $150000, just because it was a Porsche 911 Turbo??? Does the name mean that much, with all its history???

NO!!!!!!!!

If it was good once, then the product was good then. If the product is bad now, then the old one means SHIT!!!!!!! ARE YOU UNDERSTANDING YET!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but thats just the way it is.
