To rebuild or not to rebuild? (7pics)

Well i found this kit at my grandmas, my cousin was building it (about 5-7 years ago ) . It looks kinda messed up, but there are a lot of parts (the whole body) intact. Its 1:16 Revell Ferrari Testarossa.

Here are the pics of the interior. Id have to work very hard on fixing it and i found that one mirror is missing.

So i was thinking id just respray the engine and interior.

So, yes or no ?

personally if i have the time.... why not.... if u are able to build it and it look good at the end of it.... there is a sense of satisfactory.... but if u dun have time and there are ongoing project... .i would leave it den....

If it were me, I wouldn't bother unless you REALLY like the particular model or it's OOP. It'll take a lot of work, and I would rather spend it building a new kit with all its parts.

Drop it into a CSC bath and see what happens. If all the paint comes off, you'll practically have a new model. Who needs mirrors in a ferrari anyway?

I think Testarossa has only one mirror. You probably have left side mirror.

man, I had someone give me that model half built a long time ago and I parted it out. I would suggest you do the same. Its rare that you get the oppertunity to use a model for parts, you may want to consider that. Just my , but judging from your sig you've already made your decision.

I would say go for it, if its a model that you really want, I recieved an old Tamiya Toyota Corolla FX hatch,I had a close sentimental attachment to since it was my first real car which i learnt to drive on and modify, its not quite as complex to strip and rebuild being a snap together kit. plus its a good challenge to restore something and make it look good.
