How do i make my tib go 300 hp

I have just gotten rid of my old tiburon and am about to get a 03-04 tiburon.

i wanna know if i should get the i-4 tiburon
or the GT v6 tiburon

whatever will get me 300 hp and cheaper will be the solution

also
do they make GT's for the I-4's?

What mods should i put on the tib.
The cheapest for the most power would be the best thing

ok
ur first site doesn't work though
and on the second site
it says he has 288 hp
but his drive time sux...
15.00 in the quarter mile??!!!
either he sucks ass or all the mods aren't good

do u personally know anyway to make my car go 300hp and go below 14 on the quarter mile

most of what's on that site doesn't say the price
so i don't even kno what my price should be
i'm trying to keep my price range for the mods
between 2000-3000

ok, the first site is fixed.

the 15 second e.t. was his first time at the track, read the entire thread.

also, it will be VERY, VERY hard to get a tib to 300whp(288whp is 300+hp at the crank) with 3000 dollars. the quickest and safest route would be to go turbo, and then get a haltech. im not sure if alpine has a turbo for the betaII, but if they do get that for like 2800(i think) and then get the haltech stand alone fuel system for 800(another estimate).

aight dude, lets just talk on this post since its kinda hard to keep up with all the different post.

haltech runs about 800 i think. alpine turbo, 2800. nice exhaust, about 400.

with all that, id say about 230 hp at the wheels. the haltech stand alone fuel system though will not need to be changed untill about 800 hp(something crazy like that). it fully replaces all of your stock sensors and ecu which determine how much fuel to supply. the stock sensors on the beta engine restrict hp to about 250.

you obviously want power. but i think you are a little off on what the cost of a 13 second car will be. the fast and the furious is bs, hp does not come as easy as putting a shitload of nitrous oxide in your car. a 10- second car is extremely rare, and will easily cost close to 40 grand and countless hours of your time.

i say you just get the alpine turbo on the I4 and see if that suits your needs.

thanks a lot for your help
it's really appreciated
so ur saying that i shouldn't just get the GT V6 and put a haltech and good exhaust?

maybe hyundai will come out with a better V6 in the next two years
and maybe i'll jus get the I4 now
and den get a GT V6 later
thanks a lot

yeah, because if you ever want more power, you will run into relatively low limits on the v6. plus turbo power is addicting, and there is nothing like watching the look on an oppenents face when the turbo kicks in and you go flying by him with ungodly sounds coming from your engine. hehe

yup, a body kit would paint it, unless you want to give it a try. it would be best to get it painted as soon as you bought the tib too, because the stock paint will fade a little bit over time and will cause the bodykit to look slightly off. unless you know of a real good bodyshop that can match paint well.

generally, most body kits do not slow down cars, unless they mess with the aerodynamics. most body kits come are fiberglass, and the extra material on aftermarket kits over the stock metal kit is made up for by fiberglass's lightness over metal.

there are two different types of twin turbo setups. nobody makes a kit for our cars though, so it would have to be a custom job. your better off just going with one though, as the twin turbo system would prolly cost around 8000 and would be a plumbing nightmare.

the first type of twin turbo is sequential turbo. this setup has almost no lag. exhaust gases come out, go through a small turbo, and then through a big turbo. the small turbo spools fast and thus, spins the big turbo quickly. the hp gain is exponential, so huge numbers can be gained.

the second type is just two turbos(cant remember if it has a name to it. two cylinders power one, and the other two power the other one. pretty good gains.

a turbo manufacturer actually tried one of these setups on a beta engine, and said it felt like nitrous kicking in. he probably wont be making them though. he does sell a turbo kit for our cars though. a lot of people have yet to recieve products from a group buy from 8 months ago and are about to go into court over it. someone just got their turbo kit delivered four days ago though. here is the website.

http://www.cnk.co.za/products.htm

either setup will be quite near impossible with our small engine bays. the amount of tubing required for this would be very space consuming and probably not worht it. this is why most owners of cars with twin turbo setups usually convert it to a bigger single turbo setup.
