ls turbo question????

Ok guys im new to this so please bare with me. I have a 92 acura integra ls and i want to turbo it up. Now here are the questions. I have about 140 thousand miles on it, and im sure its gonna need some sort of engine tune up before i slap on a turbo. so what do i need to do just to be on the safe side before i put the turbo on. Ok now after that has been done where do i find a turbo kit for a 92 acura. Also how much boost can i run on the car. I want to run as much as possibly, but i also want to be on the safe side as well so that i dont blow the engine. Also do these turbo kits come with everything i need to run the turbo safely without any engine failure? Any help would be awesome.

Is this your only car/daily driver?

If so, I would suggest purchasing another motor for back up or to build. You can boost the current motor, infact you can use it as a guinea(?) pig.

There are several turbo kits on the market Greddy, Drag, FMAX... These are the ones that I have heard of. They are pretty basic kits and would include just about everything you need to get you car up and running. The daddy turbo kit that I would get if I was turboing a Honda/Acura is made by Full Race. It is a little pricey though.

The one thing that they usually dont include is decent engine management. You could just use whats called "AFC Hack". It consists of an Apex'i air/fuel controller and 1st generation Eclipse/Talon turbo injectors (450cc). Tons of people use this setup and its my understanding that it can handle up to 300 horse power. Couple of other things you should look into buying are MSD BTM Ignition and Walbro 255 high output fuel pump.

Just a few things that I can think of. Others will fill in the gaps or correct me, I'm sure.

Something else I forgot to mention, you could piece your own kit together. You really need to be mechanically minded though.

Consult homemadeturbo.com.

92 tegra turbokit

all tha tru. Rev hard makes a turbo kit for your car that now comes with cast manifold but you have to lose your A/C. It happens with most kits on your car. Its complet and comes with everything even a fuel pump. You should use your motor as a pigy motor and have some fun with it. You can also find a cheap b16 long block and have it installed on your car. MSD BTM is a must!! I got some hookups on the parts if you need....
