Wink Just another Mercedes

Old Italeri kit...

Some interior shots.. includes photoetch keys, photoreduced journals and maps, seat belts and flocking...

The rear:

Don't judge too harshly.. this is an old effort... I was practicing some interior techniques on this one... May be will do another old SL soon.. try to get the exterior to look ok too

What do you think?

This Baby looks brilliant!

Love the flocking on the interior, and what I do think Italeri skipped on a bit is the front windscreen and it's plastic. Just picking a nit now... (if I may criticise a bit , as it's nearing perfection) is the dashboard supposed to look so shiny, especially the chrome part then?

Do you have got some engine shots from the more then good engine bay?

I m in the making of one (or better two - in its thead somewhere) and I think you just persuaded me to try some flocking on it, which make your interior look absolutely stunning!

Oh and did you do anything to the clearpart-less rear lights, or just painted them, because they look very realistic.

Last but not least, the questionest question of them all... If you were to redo the same model, what would you handle differently (except the outer paintjob ?)

cheers, and good work, yet again!

Olivier

****No engine on this one, its going to be curbside for now (thats what I will do next time)

****Yes, I painted the lights with Tamiya clear brake and clear turn signal paints and after they dried used Krystal Klear white glue to simulate lenses

Last but not least, the questionest question of them all... If you were to redo the same model, what would you handle differently (except the outer paintjob ?)
*****Chasis/Enginge and Exterior paint finish are the first things that need upgrading/changing (may be in brilliant black) and I also have a Photoetch set for this car...

cheers, and good work, yet again!
