hand brake

does anybody know how to tighten the handbrake on a 99 camry? the one on my friend's sucks and you have to pull it really hard and turn the wheel really fast to get the tires to lock up. we were actually able to get it a couple times, but making the hand brake tighter would be a lot easier. thanks.

its probaly because the camry is the 99. the 00 camry has a very tighter hand brake. im sure that has to be some screw or some bolt to press that will tighten it. have u checked the car manual its probably in their.

just cause the car is newer doesnt mean anything it you would have to go by mileage and you have to see if both cars have drums in the back like my 99' has drums and my friends 00' has rear discs.
