First Turbo races...

OK, if any of you were paying attention before I was asking questions about fueling when you are boosting but now that I have the VAFC and 450 cc bluetop injectors and some professional tuning I feel that my car is pretty stout for still being a SOHC.

The first race was this Probe GT Turbo with an upgraded turbo, fuel managment, computer, and FMIC. We raced off the line and I had him by first and second being as though my turbo spools up faster then his. By third he was pulling hard and past me and by the beginning of fourth I was looking at his taillights by at least a car and a half ahead.

Second race was this kitted GSR on my ass coming on the highway onramp, waiting to get an opening for us to at least pace at the same speed before punching it. We finally got a straight away with little traffic and I let him go first because we didn't have an official starter. I played catchup through the end of second and caught up in third and by fourth I was tearing up the highway and he was at least 2 cars behind me. I slowed up and he flashed me to pull over at a gas station and he showed me what he had, and I showed him what I had. He had I/H/E with some wires and some engine dress up shit. Since my car looks like a total sleeper he was real shocked when I showed him the turbo.

Record 1-1

I have some engine work like a different head gasket and ignition but no internals done. I have another engine waiting around so I'm not scared to blow this engine up. It's just fun to finally be whipping ass.

I havn't ran it at the track yet. I go to school on the days the track is usually open to imports. So I'm not sure of what it can do. I know I love boosting better then running nitrous! Constant speed instead of speed in spurts. My goal is get into the 13's with this engine, I know it's possible with the right engine managment, internals and a prayer. But I don't know if I want to put anymore money into this engine or into the B18C1 that I have sitting around.
