is the h23 block with h22a head a good foundation for 20psi of boost?

I already blew up my h22a off of 7psi "ringlands" so now that i have a h23 block 9:1 JE pistons, Eagle rods, datron sleeves do you think my bottom end is ready for 20psi?am going to keep my h22a head but it won't be built yet.my next project would be finding the right gears for my transmission.so some info on gear ratios would be helpfull also.thanks in advance.

note:this is going in a 01 honda accord sedan

Good fasteners, good tunning, good head gasket I don't see why not, but again I am not as knowledgeable about the h series as I am about the B series. You have Darton sleeves so the cylinder walls are not a consern, you have froged pistons so that is not a consern, you have eagle rods so rods are not a problem. The block is a closed deck right so cylinder walk is not an issue so I really don't see why not with the proper tunning and etc

im no expert... but being a prelude man i know i've odne some research on the H-series... whtteg is 100% right... there should be no reason why not... with that kind of internal build as long as it tuned very well... as in not detanating etc... it should be fine... but like 90% of people say... tuning is everything... and for the other 10%, there talkin out there asses lol. goodluck bro

sounds like you got most of it covered just give that head a good port and polish and you should be fine. stick with the stock cams because any aftermarket cams not made for turbo applications will kill your power. i would have liked to hear that you closed the deck of the block but if you will stay at 20 and not push it anymore it is fine. i just like to be very sure that my engine wont blow but thats just me.

I agree... port n polish is great for forced induction(cuz it improves flow dramtically) but not a requirment(just on everyones wish list) if you did go cams... make sure there turbo specific cams... and the H23 is a closed deck block to begin with. your should be absolutely fine at 20psi probably up towards 25-30 with the sleeves as long as your rods/pistons will hold... but with that kinda boost your tuning better be dead on or *kapow* but 20psi... no problems
