I've got a good question

I've got a 1990 Mustang GT Ragtop that has now had 130,000 miles on it. This morning I jump in the stang to go to work and turn the key and I don’t here the high pitched sound coming from the fuel pump. The engine cranks fine but no go. The night before I was coming home from work and it just died in the middle of highway no warning what so ever. So I thought it was the fuel pump that must have died on me this morning so I ordered a high volume pump a 190 bbk from summit. Do you all think that this was my issue and if so has anyone ever dropped there gas tank and changed this before if so can you tell me what kind of tools I might need and what kind of time frame and pain the ass I might be dealing with. I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

It could also have been the fuel relay that is shot, located under the drivers seat.

Is there a way you can test your relay to find out if its your relay or your pump????

hey man, im actually in the middle of replacing my pump with a bbk 255 lph from summit right now. im gonna finish it up tomorrow morn'. you need just basic tools. if you work straight u could get in done in a couple hours. oh yeah by the way, its not a bbk you bought, mine isnt either, its a walbro. is bbk owned by walbro or something?

BBK doesn't own Walbro. Walbro makes most aftermarket companies fuel pumps and then those companies just package it in thier boxes.

Spend the couple bucks for the price of a new replay, and see if it works. They are cheap.
