This is for the guys with the painted interiors. I've got some questions to ask.

First-If you paint the entire interior will your car smell like paint forever, and if I drive in it i'll pass out, or does the smell go away?

Second-if anyone has painted their entire interior and had it come out the way they liked it please e-mail me and tell me what exactly did you do.

Third- and last of all i live in Arizona so does anybody know if the paint will stand up to the "f"ed up teperatures we get here.

My paint smell lasted a couple of days....Just drive with the windows down and you'll never know it.


Here's the steps I did to paint my interior:
1.) Take a look at your interior. Find out what colors will be which.
2.) Remove all removable pieces you can get out.
3.) Take water, and some sort of soap, and rinse and wash the pieces.
4.) Hang the pieces you want to paint up on a line or stand them up.
5.) Spray LIGHT COATS on them...You don't want it to run at all. If it runs, try your best to dab it with a paper towel or rag. Keep spraying until you get the depthness of the paint you want. Apply clear coat after a couple of hours.
6.)Place the pieces back in.
7.)If you can't get the dash off, just mask EVERYTHING OFF and spray light coats.
8.) Apply a scented spray in it and leave the windows down for a couple of days unless you can't.

As for the heat, any vehicle paint should hold up or else it wouldn't be vehicle paint. I used Duplicolor paint and it holds great.

First, use Krylon Fusion paint, it's made for plastics.

Second, give it the amount of time it says to dry and the smell shouldn't be too bad for too long.

Third, as long it doesn't get up to 200 degrees your fine, it won't melt.

Fourth, as long as you don't paint every piece the same color it should look pretty good.

Mine only smell like for the first day and it cant be stressed enough to be carefull and take your time.....krylon is the shit i scratched(sp) the crap out of my dash like a week later and the paint didnt even flake or nothing looks bran new its strong stuff.You can click my link below to see my interior

wow just reading all of this makes me want to paint my interior. I always wanted to but i didnt know exactally how. Where can i get the paint from ?????
