I have a 9" Ford rear-end on my '39 Ford and it's leaking at the interface between the front of the pinion support housing and the plate just in front of that. The gear heads I run with think it could be one of two things, the quad ring (never heard of it) or the pinion seal (never worked on a rear-end). What do you think? What's involved in fixing either? Thanks.
