engine removal and tranny
hey when a shop takes out an engine and puts in another one, do most take hte tranny out with it or leave it in? and will they drain it?
i called the shop i took my car too and they said they replaced my engine without removing hte tranny, so they woudln't have drained and forgotten to refill my tranny. but i'm really lost as to why my tranny would be empty... blah, any ideas? and does anyone wanna a) sell a 5 speed Si/EX cable tranny b) buy a 5 speed D-series hydro tranny c) trade one for the other

u dont have to remove the tranny to switch engines cause 3 of the 4 mounts are on the tranny so it can stay in there. if they take out your tranny they gotta drain the fluid and they didnt want to have to refill it so they just left it in there, if i was only replacing engine, i would leave tranny in
