Christmas Party?

Is anyone going to a Christmas party?

I was recently invited to a very formal Christmas party up in the hills, and I'm debating whether or not to go. There should be 80-100 people there, all with plenty of alcohol and food. Hmm...if I do go, I need to go shopping.

So, anyone else going out to celebrate the holidays?

I'll probably get an invite from my job, but it's most likely to be dull (dinner, little conversation, hoping to get a little bonus from the boss and (if in the same restaurant last year) having to listen to the same 5 songs over and over and over...)

Okay, so how about this. You get dressed up, come out and we can go to this thing together. You can bring a dessert and I'll bring a gift for the exchange. That way, you'll be formally invited to something, and I'll have someone to have a decent conversation with when I'm surrounded by masses of strangers, most of whom will probably be sipping a bit too much alcohol. What do you say?

I say no to that. Unless I can tag along.

But anyways. The christmas parties I have been invited to this year consist of one family party, and a party thrown by some friends from High School. I really dont think I will go to that second one, since I dislike all my old High School friends. I did however got to a somewhat formal company party. But they cannot call it a christmas party, because it is not politically correct. So Instead they have to call it a winter party.

I just hope that this years Christmas party is better than the last one. Last years one was so lame. The after party was so much better.

We’ve got a very informal work Christmas party organised for one of the days in the week before Christmas. Other than that, we won’t be in New Zealand for any other parties, we’ll be in Sydney!!
