bullit vs. gt vs. regular stang

Well, whats your definition of regular Stang? The V6? Either way here goes...

The Bullitt only came out in 01 and was available in 3 colors only... True Blue, Dark Highland Green and Black. They have a different kind of intake and exhaust compared to the regular GTs which netted a 5hp gain(265 as opposed to the 260 the Gt have.. I really dont believe the 5hp gain The Intake is really good and alot of GT owners have swapped out their old intake/plenum for the Bullitts. Having the Bullitt intake with a Supercharger will net an almost 30rwhp gain over the stock intake. Exterior-wise, You can tell them apart from Regular GTs because of the no wing in the back, the 'molded' side scoop, the billet gas cap and the rocker panels with mudflaps on them. Also no foglights with torque thrust-style 17'' wheels with red caliper brakes with a Running pony on them and a non-fuctional hoodscoop.

The GT,.. Pretty good car for its money if I should say. If you know what youre doing and can drive, youll be running constant 12s without the aid of a poweradder. Gutting the interior, rebuilding the rear-end, low gears, drag suspension and some 250-70rwhp with slicks... It should be running with, and even beating, some Z06s in the 1/4 mi not to mention your share of f-bodies

Tell me if i left anything out or if you want me to explain some other things.

The only two tools you will ever need are WD-40 and duct tape. If it moves and it shouldn't use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should use WD-40.

Ford upped the rating back to 275, which is conciding with what everyone in a Bullitt has been dynoing. 230-240 rwhp. Do the math, it'll come out something shy of 280 hp.

The Intake is really good and alot of GT owners have swapped out their old intake/plenum for the Bullitts. Having the Bullitt intake with a Supercharger will net an almost 30rwhp gain over the stock intake.

The bullitt intake is based off of the 99-01 Cobra runners. Those flow like a mofo! There is also an SVO version of it, which fits the 96-98 GTs.

A few other things: The sail panel is different, following the 94-98 look with the curving down, back toward the front instead of slipping gracefully back like the current 99-03s have. Also, the car sits a bit lower than a stock GT, sitting 3/4" lower than a GT. Its not extremely noticeable, but if you get right next to em, you can see the difference. Motorwise, the alternator is based on the Cobra, you have Cobra ABS, 13" rotors on the front with red two piston calipers and a white pony laser etched into it. The backs are regular 11" discs with the red calipers, but same as the Cobra/GT. Bullitts also have a unique tag on the driverside area where the camber plates are located at. Just under the tower, right above the battery, you can see a little blue/silver peice of plastic that has the number of the Bullitt on it. Mine is 3753. The interior has retro seats, which Ford has yet to successfully emulate in the Mach 1. The Bullitts have the best seats! Also, in the door panel, there is a silver plate that says "Bullitt" on it. The Bullitts do not come with wings, have "BULLITT" written where the GT emblem would be, as previously stated, no fog light, 35 anniversary GT shifter knob, Tremec 3650 (POS transmission, btw), with the only option of a Mach 460 or not. The ones that don't have the option are the rarest ones. I think that about covers it!

I have never seen a GT even come close to a Z06 without major work... and 12's I have never seen that... I think you are a little too generous... or I am in Salt Lake (high Elevation)... But honestly 250-70rwhp with slicks keeping up with a z06... (f-bodies no problem)

Fbodies can be had with only 260rwhp. I see mild 5.0s rape LS1s. The newer mustangs are a bit harder to get power out because of the heads, mainly the SOHC heads. You can feasibly do 350 rwhp all motor, but that's ALOT of work and perfect tuning. The Z06 is dynoing close to 380 rwhp and they're sitting at around 3100 lbs; easy 11s for a lot of good drivers. For a GT to do a Z06 time, you need slicks, spray or heads/cam and a blower. I don't buy the all motor thing unless the Z06 driver is a tool.

.

That Bullitt green is such a beautiful color I wouldn't want it any other way. It pisses me off though that such a nice looking car has a damn indent in the body for a license plate holder on the front, and no plate cover like the Vettes and Firebirds.

One more thing, maybe its a bit more fair to compare a streetable car to a streetable car, not a straight up drag racing car vs a factory stocker. Come on... that's getting to be like the old Camaro vs Mustang argument...
