Question cracked windshield

Hi, I've recently notice a crack line starting from the bottom of my 92 civic windshield. I've asked some people and they said that you cant do anything about it except replacing the windshield.

Is there any cheap way to prevent the crack from propagating besides replacing the windshield?

thanks

yea some places it's covered other wise it's like 250 least round me and the fact your windsheild is now on its way gives you some time to save up the dough.

Replacing your windshield is your only option at this point. If you’re in a tight budget go to a salvage (junkyard) area, they normally have a setup or a stall for replacing windows, and you can haggle with them for a good price. Also, keep in mind that a used windshield is less expensive than new ones, but equally as good. Just inspect the used windshield carefully for any sign of cracks, especially around the edges.
In some states, a cracked windshield is reason enough not to pass the annual inspection. My only advice for now, to keep it from cracking further, stay away from hitting any potholes or rough road conditions…it will make the crack expand a lot faster.
