Hey all Im wondering weather my HICAS is working or not my HICAS light lights up when I start my car then goes off within like 2 seconds
is it still working ? and when does it come to use ? as in when does it move my rear wheels ? when Im stationary and move my steering wheel it doesnt seem to move my rear wheel is that normal ?
and could some one tell me precisely where the solenoid is situated in the engine ? a photo would be very appreciated ... thx

HICAS works in conjunction with your vehicle speed sensor. the vehicle's speed determines the degree of rear wheel steering, explaining why it doesnt move when the vehicle is parked.

it moves to a higher degree at low speed, and lessens as speed increases.

the light coming on is normal, as it shows the system is not online, but is going through it's startup check routine. once the light goes out, it means it's online. if the light comes back on while driving, then that means the system is faulty.

bottom line, your system is working just fine.
