lock cylinder replacement

We need to replace the lock cyclinder on our 1992 Escort GT. It has two roll pins that we can't get out. Our Haynes manual is no help since it only says how to replace the entire ignition switch. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sandy

I havn't done one of these in a long time, but according to Mitchell, do the following:
1) Remove steering wheel.Remove malfunction switch. Disconnect igniton switch electrical connector. Remove shift lock cable mount bracket.
2) Remove steering column upper mount bolts and lower column. Use cold chisel to make grove on heads of mount bolts of lock cylinder.(roll pins) Remove and discard mount bolts. Remove lock cylinder and bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
That's it.

Thanks for replying PCV. The roll pins aren't threaded so we're not sure how they could come out using a screwdriver. The pins are on the actual cylinder near where the key goes in, not on the collar that holds the switch to the steering column. They are tiny pins.
