Question Maxima vs. GSR ?

last night i was laughin at this maxima that was trying to bomb threw this parking lot we were in and my friend matt who owns a 97'-99'(i think his car is a second gen...maybe not) nissan maxima V6 automatic, said he could smoke my car (97' GsR + cold air). i started laughin at him cause i didnt think he was serious but i guess he was. anyways i just wanted to know if you guys think i could win cause if so im gunna throw down some cash.

thats risky man....Max's pack a punch...the only think is it IS auto...race him and let us know...but I wouldnt put money on it

Yeah, it's a toss up. I've seen anything from 6.6 to 8.2sec 0-60 for those years of Maximas. 15 flat to 16.5 in the quarter.

First off, killboy, Max's have ALWAYS has stick available. We all know how much CAI help Honda's DOHC VTEC engines, but Maximas have had real balls since like 1990, but you do have a stick.

it defonately depends... 95 was the fastest year, and they are fast! i used to puts around in my mom's 99 I30 (the infiniti version) and hang with, if not beat IS300's well that was only twice, but sill, they're fast, be weary

me (98 auto gs stock) and my g/f (96 auto max stock) raced each other a few times, and i beat her 2/3 times she doesn't like losing the real advantage is the weight of the cars. a gsr would def win

and someone has already mentioned it...ALL GSR'S HAVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION
