Exclamation Need help!! D14A1 smokes!!

I`ve just replaced some old engine parts (origninal, no tuning) and rebuild the engine with new gaskets, and now there`s smoke coming out the exhaust pipe. I think this is some bad fuel/air setting but i`m not sure. Does someone reconise this, or know how to avoid/repair it???? Thnx (sorry about my language, i`m not english)

Welcome to the forum Chaco

Your english is pretty good..Where are you from?

Blue smoke = oil burning
white smoke = Antifreeze (coolant) burning

Did you re-torque the head bolts correctly and re-adjust the valves after running the engine some?? After like 4-500 miles you are supposed to retorque the head bolts and check 'em...48 lbs/ft.

Hey, Chaco! You're not the only one with this motor! Here are some specs:
D14A1
my car is a 1.4 GL/GLX
Engine: 1.4 16V SOHC
Power hp/rpm: 90 @ 6300
Compression Ratio: 9.3:1

I got that from the guy from Estonia, Deadboy in Tallin.
