Nova its lighter and will be faster with the same engine as you would put in a camaro. Only problem is it might be harder to drop a v8 in the nova..i heard fitting headers is a Pain.

Header installation isnt really a pain... just take it slow and have patientence. It might be benefitial to jack the car up and slide the headers in from the underside. Thats how i got my old headers out.

If you go with the Nova make sure you inspect every nook and cranny for rust. These are famous for rusting out the shock towers and subframe mounts. Big dollars to repair the right way. Second thing is dropping the smallblock in requires a special oil pan and pickup tube, no big deal but needs to be remembered. If it's of susbstantial horsepower than you will need to go with fenderwell headers, again no biggie but requires cutting the body and patience is a must to get it to turn out right. Either way you decide they are both awesome cars.

NO SHIT. Haha...A big block Nova would spank a small block Camaro... It goes both ways. And I'm not saying this out of bias cause I own a Nova, its just common sense. Put a big motor into any car and it'll usually be faster than a car with a smaller motor.

Yeah, I know the First generation Novas are small.. but if you throw enough money at it you can do anything. Or you can do a big cubic inch small block... 377, 383, 388, 396, 400, 406, 415, 427, 454... all possible with small blocks.

why go with the crowd?
Just ask yourself this, when you plant that power plant in a chevy 68 camaro, its still gonna have the same balls, but just the same as every other camaro guy out there, why not plant it in a car that hardly anybody has? a 63 nova, its gonna look meaner when you pull up to the line, you will get better power to weight ratio, and plus, i think the camaro is just like the mustangs now a days, everyone and their dogs have them, go with something original, sure people are gonna remember a 68 camaro, but you put a nice 63 nova infront of them, and their jaw is gonna drop in awe. And to add something else in, you put a big block in any car pretty much and it will spank a small block off the line, unless you know what your doing, I am geting rid of my Nova for another Nova with a 5 point cage, and im dumping a 327 power plant done to the tits in it. Pop up pistons, cam, intake, carb, ignition system, heads, headers, and a 5 speed manual tranny with 4.9 gears just so i got the bottom end punch, but il have a bit more speed in the top end range, and for the sound of th engine, 2 3/4 pipes leading to flow master exsaust, and to help keep the times consistant, traction leafs, it may not make my car rocket into the 10's, but il be happy with spanking every damn mustang in my city no problem what so ever.
