What car would win? Celica or Camaro?

I had a friend recently ask me to race him in his 2000 Celica GT. Would a stock 1994 V6 Camaro beat his car or would the race be fairly close?

It's auto, but had some nice Potenzas that are like 9" wide on it so it would win acceleration at least.

What else could I do to get an edge on this car since my V6 isn't as powerful as I want it. Everyone says intake and exhaust, but is there any other mods that would increase h/p highly besides a turbocharger?

I would get a V8 cept money is at a premium, and I wouldn't be able to install it myself. Probably the next car I get will be a Z28 instead, but that will be down the road aways so I'm stuck with the V6 for now.

Ive never driven or raced a celica GT... But i drive a 97' RS everyday and I think itd have a have a hard time beating a 2000 celica

Well I know that when my 92Rs 305 5spd was stock I beat a 99 celica gt, and I also know that a stock 94 V6 camaro has more hp and torque than my 305, so you do the math.

if you were racing for a good distance i know for a FACT you would win unless ur friend modded his car's computer...because in the 2000 celica's they have a restrictor plate they get maybe 100, 105mph Top's.
