I know that the manual suggests Honda Brand ecspecially for lsd. But you can also use regular motor oil, check a manual on the weight. I have been told before also not to use synthetic in it.

yea, i noticed that the manual recommends that too. but since it also recommends honda brand motor oil and honda brand oil filters...i figured people did something else.

I just use regular motor oil (royal Purple), even though the manual says use there fluid for trannies, but its ok to use the motor oil for a limited time, but when ever you have the patience to go to the dealership, i would get what they reccomend.

Use honda fluid...if its not an option ive heard use mobil1. Synthetics reduce friction resulting in better overall performance.
