I have a ZC SOHC in my 4G4D. Is there a SOHC VTEC head that will fit onto this block without modification, just a straight bolt-on?
If so, do you know how this engine is coded so I can start looking...? |

^^^^^^^^
What he said - D series and E series are two different species, the result would be like trying to root your cat, it may be possible, but it wouldn't be without a lot of problems, major surgery, and in the end it wouldn't be very satisfying.* Stick to the same species and either drop in a complete SOHC VTEC or a ZC ![]() * I am NOT speaking from experience

The SOHC ZC motor is the exact same thing as the USDM D16A6. so techincally, any SOHC VTEC head would fit right on the block, provided its a D series.

Just remember boys and girls, B series=2 camshafts, D series= 1 camshaft (except for ZC)
