s13 race - stick dohc 240sx ~VS~ auto sohc 240sx

ok, this is the race i've been waiting for a while now, and it came when i just about finished up all of my mods. there aren't that many 240's by me (especially s13's), so its always nice to see one that likes to race.

when i was just turning out of a dept store, a couple lights down i noticed a gray s13 coupe twin cam (single wiper conversion ) weaving through traffic to try to catch up to me. he blew a light and then we met right at a good traffic light. he talked and i asked if he had an sr in it.... his reply... "sr?". i could tell he didn't do any mods or anything like that, but he said it was a twin cam. i replied "yea, i know"... lol, i could tell by the front bumper. i told him mine's a single cam, and he had a grin on his face. i secretly smiled to myself.

well right when the light turned, he both stepped on it. i had a better launch, and jumped ahead about 1/2 car length. around 35 i had about 1.5 car lengths on him, and by the time i reached 60 i had a good 5 car lengths on him.

after that i yelled out... "is yours an auto?". his reply "no it's a stick"

this made me happy

i finally know that i'm faster than a twin cam stick. makes me feel good about all the mods i have. me having 15hp stock less than him and mine being an auto, i still killed his ass. and this was with my full interior, system, etc. still in.

good job man...yeah it's always cool to know that your performance efforts wern't in vain..Almost the same sort of deal happened with me, and a CRX..(except that I don't have a CRX, and keeping in mind the BMW isn't my only car, it's just the nicer of the 3)

I don't wanna go into deteal...But I also own a 93 Civic VX with a b16A SiR II...And I was reffering to a race between my VX when it was just a stock B16A, against a CRX with a B16A2...I know the A2 has 10 less ponies and No LSD...But!!!!!! the owner didn't know that..And I thought the look on his face was pretty funny....
By the way I own a 98 M3 a 91 Rx-7 Turbo II with a 13B-REW and the 93 Civic VX i mentioned

i have AA traction tires. i get great launches

yea i love fooling around with cars i have no business messing with. today coming home, on the hiway, was a '94 24v probe gt. tinted windows, and what sounded like an intake. i revved, he pulled around, and we took off. he was seriously laughing at me when i revved..... around 80 i saw his face and he was like holy f'in shit.... this guy is keeping up with me. i actually jumped ahead about .5 car length when i shifted... but i eventually lost by about 1.5 car lengths at about 105.

we ran out of space though, my car was just getting ready to shift into the ever-so-deadly 4th gear he should have annhilated me, but that was pretty close.

well it just about even's things out.

compared to a celica gt stick, i jumped out as soon as the light turned and prolly about 1/2 car better jump.

a manual with those tires would be sick. i'll probably be selling them with rims on in a couple months when i have to put the stocks back on, so if anyone wants them pm me.
