Timing Belt
I got a couple Timing belt questions for u guys:
1.How hard is it to change the belt by yourself on these Tegs. 2.How long does it take 3.Am I going to need any special Tools 4.Should I get an OEM belt 5.Should you replace every 60k or 100k(I was reading somewhere and I think thats what it said) 6.Should I just have a shop do it Thanks |

To change the bealt is not hard you bave to have a jack to suport the engine because you have to unbolt one of the engine mounts to get the cover of the timing belt off. Better have a airgun so you can remove the crank bolt. As far as replacing the belt every 60,000 miles i say YES. i had 156,XXX i replaced it the first 60,000 miles but neglected to do so on the 120,000 miles mark. So my belt tore and now my engine is worthless. As i travel 40mph my piston(rods) are now bent my valves are bent and my head needs work. So am f8cked

I think Honda suggests replacement after 90,000. That's what they told me anyway.
