Ferrari 250GTO
Outdoor pics to follow. Quite happy with how this came out but if I was redoing it there's definitely some things I would and wouldn't have done. Hobby Design photoetch was alright, some parts weren't great though so weren't used. Some orange peel on the paint unfortunately. I know for next time! First time using PE parts.
Tell me what ya think! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for lookin'! ![]() - Tomo |

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
I like the yellow, waiting for the outdoor pics. Is that a Fujimi?

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
looks nice. some paint cracking on the rear seems to be too thick a layer when applied though.

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed at how some of the paint ended up on this. Oh well, every kit is a lesson!

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
Great model and good color Tomo, congratulatios.
Just as a comment. The ferrari emblems on the sides looks a little big for the model and th valves in the engine are not in line. As you said, is a lesson in every kit and this is not criticism, just simple comments. regards Miguel |

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
Nice quick work and a good learning experience. The orange peel can usually be remedied with some very fine sandpaper and elbow grease followed off with some polishing compound. What's the next project?

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
Thanks for the kind words everyone
![]() The next project.. Hmm. Depends on what I find tomorrow in this model shop I discovered locally! Can't wait to get started on another project though. I've my summer tests at school coming up in a few days so there may be a short hiatus from modelling but I hope to get something done. I still have a Calsonic lorry trailer and a garage diorama to finish.. it's gonna be a very productive summer ![]() - Tomo |

Re: Ferrari 250GTO
you can always polish body if u want to get rid of orangepeel, its also good to rescribe panel lines before painting, looks more realistic, paint wont flood them and you dont even have to paint them afterwards
