Needed: Ferrari 250GTO illustrations/schematics

Hi!

I hope you can help me with this.

I have been singularly unsuccessful in finding reference materials for a long term project I want to undertake.

I am looking for cutaway illustrations and detailed schematics (similar to the one below) for the 250GTO. I need to see not just the mechanicals but also how the frame is constructed below the body shell.

I'm hoping that some of you will have stuff squirrelled away on your hard disks.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Re: Needed: Ferrari 250GTO illustrations/schematics

I just found this 250 GTO restoration project using Google. It's not strictly what you are asking for, but it may help you. Click on the images to show the full versions and there is a (large, but not all too visible) link to the next page at the bottom of each page.

http://www.mototechnique.com/250GTO_p1.htm

I'll try and post direct links to each photo when I have the time, so that you can save them because the window closes when you left or right click on the full sized images.

Hi klutz!

I have this book and even if it's not exactly what you need there is some picutres that may come in handy.
I'll try to scan some of them for you this weekend, I don't have a scanner myself but I'm going to pay a visit at my parents and then I can borrow the one they have.

ok, i'm a luddite... do i need a premium account to view the pics full-size? i can only see/save the thumbnails...

klutz... you can buy a poster-size cutaway drawing here: http://www.autotrend.com/9118.html

you might also look for a david kimble cutaway drawing; his are incredible in their detail and accuracy.

Chuck, I've heard of "double posting" but triple posting?? Come on.... j/k

See? Told 'ya

1. Cutaway. Something that I have wanted to try for some time now.
2. The above point kind of leads to scratching the bits "behind the holes"
3. Full detail? We'll see. As "full" as my nerves can stand anyway

Re: Needed: Ferrari 250GTO illustrations/schematics

Well I have to say that it feels good to have really helped someone out rather than just posting the same old opinions again and again, so thank you for giving me the opportunity and I look forward to seeing your WIP.

Unfortunately, three of the pages appear to have broken links to the full size images, but I have emailed them and hopefully they will correct this, as there are some useful pictures missing.

i'm bad about posting thoughts as they come, rather than combining them into one tidy post.
