Clutch fan removal help!

Hey guys, I need some quick advice on how to get the clutch fan off to replace water pump. It's soaking in some PB blaster while I write this. I've tried whacking a big crecent wrench to no avail, even while using the tensioner to put pressure on the belt. I've tried using the loan a tool clutch fan removal wrenches, but to get one on the pulley bolts I had to unthread them enough that my C-wrench doesn't fit anymore, and the flat bar 36mm wrench that comes in the kit just bent off. Is there enough room to remove the whole pump/fan/clutch assembly if I just undo the water pump mounting bolts?

Re: Clutch fan removal help!

Got it.

After a few more applications of PB Blaster I beat the snot out of four sides of the nut with a chisel. I then tightened the pulley bolts down on the large removal tool and wedged it against a pry bar that spanned the rad support and the alternator. I unbolted the fan and tilted it forward enough to get the crescent wrench in there, and stood on the frame and attacked it with a 5lb sledge. It came free. Found red loc-tite inside!

Now am attempting to dig up the torque specs for reassembly. Would be nice if someone added this info to blazee's write-up.
