Honda RC211V LCR 2006

My new project, LCR Honda RC211V who participated in the MotoGP world championship in 2006 and was piloted by the World Twice champion Casey Stoner.

Kit and accessories that will be used.

Also decided to do a different version during the 2006 season were used a few other sponsors, and I will use the version GIVI.

Here the engine almost ready.

All the rear suspension also almost ready.
The balance was all locked inside with durepox and mass Putty.

Disc brake rear photoetch, sanded for better realism.

Here the radiator, with screens in PE.

The Exhaust ...

Motorcycle Frame

Starting to put the decals on the fairings

Re: Honda RC211V LCR 2006

Sandro - hell of a job you did on the air intakes on the sides of the frame - did you drill that out and file it or did you scratch build the parts? - what screen material did you use - also for the radiator? What brand and part number? - I'm working on the "Stoner" LCR kit too. On the rear swingarm welds, are they as they come or did you make them?? The detail is awesome, as usual for you - thanks - John

Sandro - why did you use the older 03' clutch pack and not the newer 06' version that came with the fork kit? just asking - John

Re: Honda RC211V LCR 2006

John, I use the screens are all the Crazy Modeler, radiator EP0043 is the item as pictured.

Have the clutch cover, I did not use the 2006 is the ground cover was only used by Pedrosa's bike, you can see it in the book MotoGP 2006.

Modellerone, I use fabric softener of Mr. Hobby.

Sandro - I understand that you used the Crazy Modeler screen for one side, but what did you use for the other side of the radiator? it looks like you have screen on both sides? Also I understand you regarding the clutch pack - I didn't know you were doing Pedrosa's bike. You are correct only Hayden used the 2006 clutch pack as he had a completely different bike than all the other Honda riders - John

Re: Honda RC211V LCR 2006

John, that's right, I have screen on both sides, the inner side of the radiator I used a screen that had left the Acu-Stion. The clutch cover, maybe I have explained myself badly, meant that only the official Honda motorcycles that is used to cover new clutch, Honda's satellite teams (LCR, Minolta and Fortuna) all used the old caps.

Beautiful work Sandro - excellent attention to detail - what company did you use for the quick release brake fittings? - How did you do the "honda" "wingfoot" on the top triple clamp "tree" - Thanks again for sharing your excellent work Sandro - John
