1/12 `65 Mustang Shelby GT350
I can officially call this finished now, and finally. I started this back last July, starting from the Road and Track Revell kits from the `80`s. The kit took alot, and I mean ALOT, of work to get it to this point. I made alot of modifications to the body to try to get it to a convincing shape. If I had more time, I would`ve done even more with the roof line and A pillars. The suspension was lowered probably about 4-5 scale inches in the front, and about 2 or 3 in the back. The tires are the "skinnies" from the Corvette/Camaro Revell kit. I also needed to add alot of details that you wouldn`t expect. For instance, there was no radiator hose connecting the radiator to the engine.
![]() Because the kit was old, the decals literally disintegrated when they hit the water. So I had to go to the aftermarket, which is why the GT 350 doesn`t line up perfectly. Let me know what you think. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's an amazing build, especially considering where you started with it. That was one dog of a kit!

What Zoom-Zoom said. That is by far the best one I have ever seen built.

Same as this? http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1073653
Where did you get the decals? I need blue GT500 rocker stripe decals in 1/25 scale |

Re: 1/12 `65 Mustang Shelby GT350
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
The buyer also asked for hood pins, so I fabricated something quick: ![]()

Re: 1/12 `65 Mustang Shelby GT350
Ok, thanks. I've seen pics of decals that someone supposedly sold, but couldn't find contact info & I think it was a private individual. I'd like to build my dad's old car using the 67 GT350 & engine from 68 GT500, but neither kit has blue.
Those hood pins look nice! |

Re: 1/12 `65 Mustang Shelby GT350
I had to check your name twice because it wasn't a Camaro or Corvette. Stunning model but the engine compartment really sticks out for me, completely realistic. It's just not all the extra details, but the engine looks like an actual shrunken down real metal one. The window trim looks perfect also.
