Proper Gap?
I know there are some gm tech Gurus on here.
I currently own a 02 Tb 174, and some change. I plan on replacing my spark plugs i know it calls for Ac Delco for the plugs. Whats your thought on the Bosch Platinum 4+. Are they good/bad? I know its not going to give my Tb any performance. What is the proper gap? Previous mechanic gapped my current plugs at 48. Some manuals i have read all have different numbers. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank You

Re: Proper Gap?
Number that I come up with is .050". Platnum plugs are pre-gapped, be very careful when checking gap as you can damage the electrotes.

Re: Proper Gap?
I'd stay with AC/Denso Iridiums here.

In the past many had issues with the bosch plugs in these engines. best not to mess with the gap , if it looks wrong the plug is defective get another..small wire will get damaged and fall off if you touch it. the gap on the 5.3L engine changed. I believe its .060 now..check when selecting. I believe it was .045 at first .. |
