Installed aftermarket stereo, car dies

Installed an aftermarket stereo in my daughters 2003 dodge neon, double checked all my connections, car starts, stereo turns on, car dies. I unplug the stereo harness, turn the car on again and it stays running. Do I have an alternator or battery issue?

Re: Installed aftermarket stereo, car dies

Did you install an amplifier as well? Speakers? Or just the deck? Sounds like something with electric / power supply.

Assuming you used the power / hookups from the old stereo?

Radio is on the BUS. If wired improperly it could possibly cause your problem.
