I need some help.I have a 1991 Ford Aerostar Eddie Bauer with the premium sound system with the equalizer.I hooked up the aftermarket wire Harness to my Alpine head unit and installed it in the van but no sound comes through the speakers. Is there another harness i can buy to get this unit working or do i have to cut and splice wires ? Since this thing has an eq does it still have an amp in the rear also ? This is a nice van but Ford Premium stereos suck A$$....Someone let me know before i try this cutting job....Thanks

Stereo Help
I had the exact same issue with my 1990 Aerostar. First issue is that there are six speakers instead of four, which most harnesses come with. To combat this I simply joined the rear four speakers together with no problems. Also, another interesting feature of these speakers is that there is NO negative wires. To make the equalizier work with the stereo I ran the wire into the pre-amp out I believe. That one you may have to experiment with.

Re: Help Installing Aftermarket Stereo
You have to get rid of the headphone jack in the car. If not, it will burn up the stereo.
