Installing aftermarket stereo ( head unit )

I have an Alpine CDA-7894 that I got free from a buddy to install in my girlfriends 2001 Jetta wagon. I picked up the proper wiring harness and the antenna wire adapter from the stereo shop. I guess at this point all I need is the tool to pop out the stock deck right? I'm not too savvy on car stereo stuff but I know I can slap a deck in with a few pointers from someone who knows waht they're doing.

Can anyone suggest exactly waht tool I need etc? Thanks in advance!

Ok I've done many stereo changes but I havent' done it on a newer Jetta. You will need a stereo removal tool...but the tool you need isn't just sold...you have to by a new stereo. Or you can make one all you have to do is take a piece of tin or if you have a computer remove some of the covers on the back and slide them in. Then you put in the metal frame into the area and connect the harness and slide it in
