1998 Blazer turning over but not starting!

I have a 1998 Blazer 4-door 4wd with 114,000 miles.....the problem with it is that every now and then it will not turn over. I will try to start it and it seems like it has no fuel acts exactly like the fuel pump is going out. I have replaced the fuel pump and it is doing the same thing. One thing I have found that works is that if I unplug the Battery for a couple of hours it starts right up just fine. I would appreciate any help on this issue!

The only thing that turn on are my check engine and battery light.

It will turn over it just won't start but if I unplug the battery for a couple of hours it will start right up. It acts like there is no gas getting to the engine but fuel pump is new and so is the fuel filter?

Re: 1998 Blazer turning over but not starting!

next time it will not start pour like a 1/4 cup of gas straight into the throttle body and see if it starts. What you are kinda telling me can be electrical or fuel but to many things to guess on as of now. We need to narrow it down and see if it is fuel or electrical. The reason I asked if a security light stays on is because that is a anti theft thing that shuts off the gas to the engine. New fuel pump does not mean good. I have done mine 4 times in the last four years.
