Re: When will gas hit $4.00
It's about $3.60 locally but has already surpassed $ 4 in some locations ( i.e. - northeast US , likely California as well ) !

Re: When will gas hit $4.00
When the prices were this high in 2007, I was telling the Atheists I was debating that I was praying for the prices to drop to under $3.00 a gal.
None of them believed me when I said I believed God would bring the price of gas down, yet he did. I am going to start praying to that same end again ( as soon as I get done with this post!) I will pray for the price of gas to drop to below $3.00 a gal by Sept. In Jesus name, lets see if he will work a miracle of price dropping again!

Really it is quite evident to me that those in power, including the U.S. President, by their regulations and actions are artificially keeping the price of gas high. This of course includes the thugs who control oil in the middle East. The All-powerful Creator is still in control of it all!

It's already surpassed that here in Cali. Even at the thrifty stations.

![]() 1. My point was Adam Smith wrote some of the first analysis of the functions of the marketplace. He may be dead, but these forces have been around for thousands of years. Like it or not, fuel prices are determined by market forces and conditions, not God (who does not exist, BTW) 2. Why are you praying to god to save a few bucks? That seems greedy to me. Wouldn't it be more beneficial for you to pray for people who really need help, to end human suffering, or pray for him to ease the burden of the sick, infirm and desperately poor? 3. If you think that god should circumvent market forces to save you some money, aren't you really saying that god is Socialist (given that socialists circumvent market forces to support the less fortunate??) 4. Therefore, why should you, a Republican, pray for Socialist intervention? If you want to go socialist, you can start by supporting Obama. ![]() 5. Also, if he's all-powerful, why do you have to pray to him at all? Wouldn't he just know anyways........ ? All I can infer is that even you believe he is not all powerful, and he needs you to alert his attention to problem areas. ![]() But back on subject: Higher fuel prices are inevitable, as oil reserves become depleted. This is a good thing, for 2 reasons: 1. Higher prices means less consumption, so existing reserves will last longer, so our children and grandchildren can enjoy them. 2. Higher prices means more money to develop difficult-to-reach oil reserves, like those in Greenland and the arctic. Such reserves will never be developed if prices remain low. Again, this development ensures future generations will have fuels. Last edited by MagicRat; 04-10-2011 at 02:33 PM. |

I pray for ALL of the above you mentioned, I even pray for YOU MR! Also, my praying for gas prices to drop isn't for me alone. If The price of gas drops it will drop for EVERYONE who buys gas, not just for me, so I am thinking of the well being of others too in this prayer! Quote:

It is the politicians who are preventing drilling for oil. I'll bet Canadians are screaming for the same thing in places in Canada.

Sorry to disappoint you, but as you can see those like MagicRat like me to voice my religious beliefs on the forum. You are free to ignore them, Or go to another thread if you wish! ![]() Also if you really respected my religious beliefs, you wouldn't ask me to keep them to myself. *You did make a good point about the economy failing, I will include in my prayers that the price of gas goes down WITHOUT the economy failing! God bless! CL8

Re: When will gas hit $4.00
Nashville, TN is already averaging about $3.65ish for low grade with up to 10% ethanol. The places in Nashville that advertise "ethanol-free" are $3.70 and up.
It seems to be going up by about $0.10 per week, if not more.

Re: When will gas hit $4.00
There's someone fairly high up in the federal government who wants fuel to go to $8/gallon, just not too quickly (so we notice it's happening). But I don't know whether that was the change you were hoping for...
