Runs fine at idle, but seems to starve when the gas is hit

The other day i was just driving as normal, and my blazer (92' 4.3 vortec, auto) seemed to just loose power, then it seemed like it wasnt getting fuel because it would chug and jerk. I drove it home and parked it, I have changed the spark plugs, distributor and cap, and fuel filter. When I start it up, it runs fine at idle, but when i go to drive it and increase the rpm's a bit, it does the choke out and chugging. I can hear the fuel pump when i turn the ignition, so im not sure if its that. It only seems to do it after it has been running for over a couple of minutes. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

well dont go cpi nut kit just yet, that seems to be his answer for everything, how loud is the pump when u start it and if you put the pedal to the floor when first driving what will happen?

Yeh but have you noticed that when he says that it is usually the problem.I have read enough threads with people having problems with there cpi nut kit to have some idea.So leave him alone its either that or vacuum which is a big problem in our rigs.

Why don't you shut up and stop discrediting the advice given to help the thread starter.

The CPI injector is the problem with the CPI system and not the fuel pump.

If it was the fuel pump, it wouldn't even start.

thanks for all the advice guys, couldn't it be the fuel pump going on the out, or possibly something in the fuel line, im gonna check the fuel pressure tomorrow. It almost seems to be something with the exaust. About two months ago i cut the catalytic converter out, cause it was causing an egr type of stutter, and that worked, but this seems exactly the opposite of the egr type symptoms, it runs fine at idle, and drives fine at low rpm, just any higher than 2000 rpm in seems to choke out. Thanks guys
