94 k1500 stalls at take off

I have a 94 4x4. I have replaced spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, and rotor cap and button. In the mornings when i leave the house and take off it seems like i am trying to push another vehicle or somthing. sometimes it will miss spit and sputter and stuff. Some times it dont miss. After i go 2-3 miles it will stop missing and run fine. I have tried running only 93 octane, and still no difference. All plug wires are up off of everything and both injectors seem to be doing right. I am to the point I dont know what to try next. If someone knows anything I should try let me know please. Thanks for any help. Also one more thing, sometimes going down the 4 lane 55 or so it will start missing or feel that way. I can let all the way off the fuel and it will stop and run fine. I dont know if this has anything to do with the other problem or not.

Pull the vacuum line off the EGR valve, cap it, and try it like that. If it runs good, you need to replace your EGR Valve. It is located on the Lower intake on the passenger side.

What's the fuel pressure at the point where it begins to miss?

Stored codes?

if the engine runs like it is not getting enough fuel when cold this is the ECT. this may be out of cal. if so the computer may think the engine is warm when in fact it is cold. cheap/easy part to replace , probably the original...........

with missing on the hywy speeds sometimes , I would use an OHM METER and measure the spark plug wire resistance. If you find resistance too high on some[one] get new wires and check resisitance before installing...............If your lucky.

I have replaced the wires with some better ones. But I will check the resistance on them and see what i come up with. Could be a bad wire or wires in the bunch. Who knows. Kinda a dumb question but what is the ECT? Thanks

ECT is the Engine Coolant Temp (sensor).

So you replaced the EGR even though you didn't need one? ouch, how much that set you back?

You could also check if the IAC is stuck open and/or the throttle plate is sticking while the truck is in Park. Also check for vacuum leaks (spray all around with carb cleaner) and a stuck closed warm air diverter (in the air filter snorkel).

If you want to do some damage to your components/gaskets/wiring/rubber/paint on engine / electrical devices then I suggest you use the carb cleaner..

carb cleaner is for metal only ......................

I have used card cleaner and also ran a water from a water hose to find if i had a vacuum leak when i did not have any carb cleaner. I am sure if you sprayed carb cleaner on everything 15-20 times you might eat up somthing. As far as i know i have never messed up anything with it. glad you got to see this post

electronic cleaner or throttle body cleaner is safe to use with electrical wiring/devices and most rubber products used in the automotive industry.

GM does not recommend any carb cleaner to be used to clean the throttle body/IAC/MAF as this damages these components. some gaskets are not made to be exposed to carb cleaner.

damage takes some time to develop..
