After 15 min. stalls at green light take off.

1988 4.3 4x4 197k.
Hi there everybody, I've been working on my blazer and can't figure this problem out. I do most of the work on her but this time i'm at a loss.
It will start just fine, but after about 15 minutes of driving i'll stop at a red light, Then apon taking off at the green light my blaze will sputter and stall. I have replaced a few parts, EGR Valve, Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, PVC Valve, Distributor Cap and Rotor. I can't figure out if it's a vaccuum issue or an electrical issue. I've scanned for codes by using a jumper wire and nothing shows to be a problem.
Any help in this will be greatly appreciated. I just signed up for this forum and will hopefully be helping out others with problems.
I have already read a few posts where I can actually help others out.
Thanks in advance.
Vic

Did you check for timing advance? Had a problem simular to yours and the mechanic forgot to reconnect wire after he checked timing.

Check..

I haven't done that yet. I really do need to get a timing gun though. That very well could be the problem.
I just now finished taking off my TBI system and cleaned it up a bit. I found out that the PCV Valve wasn't working properly and found out that it wasn't actually the valve itself. The nozzle on the TBI unit that goes out to the PCV valve was clogged with tons of junk! I think the junk was either carbon or gasket. Totally clogged up. I took the tbi unit off and cleaned the royal heck out of it and put it all back together with a new gasket. I'm going out for a test drive tomorrow to see how it works now. Because there was absolutely no vacuum pressure when I checked the PCV valve, Now it sucks like a hoover! I took it for a little test drive tonight and did notice quite a bit more power. If the test drive tomorrow fails, I guess i'll be buying a new command module. I'm still getting some spark plug flash over. I'm hoping that this is the reason for the engine missing as well as the engine vibration.

Still the same

Nothing seems to work. I even took off my cat converter to see if it was clogged up but it seemed to be alright. Hasn't anybody had this problem?
Is it gasping for air or gas? Or possibly electricity? And still no codes come up. It still gives me a 12 code. What does code 12 actually mean? One guy at a parts store told me that it means just that the battery was unhooked at one time. Is this true? Is checking the codes on a 1988 s10 4.3 4x4 vin Z motor useless?
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated, More than you can truely imagine. This is my only vehicle.

Sick and tired!

I got sick and tired of wondering what the problem was. Also sick and tired of buying parts to no avail. I just used the vehicle for a trade in on a 1998 4.3 4x4 2-door. I've spent countless hours and lost alot of time from work and just came to the conclusion of "Enough was enough."
I loved the truck with a passion. But I was dealing with a rebuilt motor that was apparently put together very poorly. I suspected something when I caught that business trying to sell me back my own parts.
Before I took it in to get the motor changed out for a new rebuilt one, just one month prior I installed a brand new water pump. As they were installing the new motor the top mechanic calls me up saying that I was going to need a new water pump and that the exsisting one was totally rusted out. I told him to rethink his last suggestion because I had just put that new one on. After that I knew that they would basically get me in the end. In the end my problem was either an oil pump or a oil pressure leak. After changing out the fuel pump and countless other things, I decided to use it as a trade in towards another vehicle. If it was the oil pump, I wasn't about to fry my engine and end up with absolutely nothing. So here I am with a 1998 4.3 Blazer LS.
Thank you people for all your help and advice.
I really do appreciate this site and the people who put it here.
Now I can guarantee getting to work on time and collecting all the hours that I possibly can get!
Again, I thank all the people for their input.
