2006 montana sv6 cruise surges

Got a 2006 montana that the cruise will start surging going down hill. It only does it down hill like the gas pedal is being pressed and released. Anyone had one do this? Thanks

I've never noticed any problems with my cruise control in my '06 SV6 while going downhill. I do, however, find that if I resume the cruise control while going much slower then the set speed, that the van accelerates violently to get back to that speed. Every other vehicle I've owned has a more controlled increase in speed. The SV6 damn near red lines waiting for the trans to shift as it flies down the road. To avoid this, I've learned to get the speed closer to the set speed manually before resuming.

I know it's not the problem you're having, but the SV6 cruise control may just be buggy. Anyone else have any cruise control issues?

I have noticed it a couple of times with my 06 sv6 but who knows whats wrong. Sorry
