was running, now it wont even turn over
i have a 1992 chev S10 with a 4.3 , 168k miles on it , i wa driving it around turned it off and went to start it up, everything lits up but it wont turn the starter over. i replaced the start and battery. any help would be great

You don't say if this is an auto or manual trans but my first thought is the transmission interlock switch. In an automatic, this should be 2 wires that plug into the transmission.
The switch only allows power to go to the starter soleniod when the trans is in Park or Neutral. If the switch or circuit is damaged or interrupted, the soleniod will not receive power. |

thank you for the info those wires are fine i bypassed the wire to the ignition, and the truck started right up.
