HELP water in plug wells
i have a 2004 v8 lincon ls ive had several missfire problems but after 2 coil packs and 3 double platinum plugs I had it running great. then after 3 weeks it started again, upon further inspection i found water in plug well 1 &2 any help is appreciated i dont understand how water could get in there, durring the last tune up i also got new covers .

Water will roll from the cowl onto engine, run down the ignition buss lines, sneak under your COP cover, and flood the spark plug boss with water.
1) Use a shop vac + hair dryer for clean-up. 2) Dry COP's. 3) Make sure the rubber gasket is good on the COP cover. 4) Use a silcone sealent for the COP cover. 5) Do expecially the rear, were the ignition wires are going into the valve cover. |

Is it actually cylinders 1 and 2 (first two on the passenger side nearest the belt) or 4 and 8? It would not be very likely that a cowl leak would make it to the front of the engine and not also impact cylinders 3 or 4.
