Transmission wont go into drive.
I have a 93 ford explorer. A couple months ago my transmission stopped going into drive i only had park and reverse. I finally got it to go back into drive but then it stopped again as soon as i put it back into park. I replaced my transmission but it is still doing the same thing. I dont know where else to go with this does anyone have any ideas of what might be going on??

Re: Transmission wont go into drive.
If it does the same thing with another transmission, I would liik at the shift linkage. Little screws and come loose, bushings on the steering column can wear out, and the linkage at transmission can slip.
