Blazer OD wont work and have to shift into drive
My father-in-law has a 95' blazer and over the weekend his OD went out. He is also not able to just start in drive he will have to start in 2nd and shift up into drive when hes moving. I assume 1st gear works fine as he did not say anything about it. What would be a good starting point to getting this fixed?

Best to get it on a transmission capable scan tool and retrieve the codes. You'll need to have a shop do it... the auto parts stores do not scan for transmission codes. Could be a problem with shift solenoids, did you check both terminals of all fuses with a volt meter or test light?
