Low RPM and O sensor codes?

Like alot of other people on here I was having problems with my 4.7 JGC the problem was when I got to a stop light my rpms would drop to about 400-450 then my check engine light came on and said my O sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 up stream was bad I changed it out and the same thing happened check engine light and low r's so I changed the spark plugs, cleared the codes and now it runs better but the check engine light keeps comming on also every once in a while it does not want to start it will turn for a while before it starts, so here are the codes its pulling now, I dont want to keep throwing money away on o sensors if thats not it. Any help would be awesome.

Re: Low RPM and O sensor codes?

Yes, Bank 1 is on the Drivers side, the same side as cylinder #1. That was my first code Drivers side before the converter so that is the one I changed and it did nothing, I reset the codes and it went right back to what it was doing.

Re: Low RPM and O sensor codes?

Making sure, that we are on the same page, because Ford's bank 1 is on the passenger side.
Is this a H02 sensor 4-wire?
1) Even though the upstream HO2 sensor is new on bank 1 , roll it with bank 2.
2) Visual inspect the 4 wires on bank 1 for heat damage.
3) Check fuse for the H02 sensors.
Also look at similar threads at the bottom of yours.

Re: Low RPM and O sensor codes?

Yes it is 4 wire, the wires look good there were two fuses a little clear 15amp that said Oxygen Sensor and one black box fuse that said rear oxygen sensor, the 15 amp one was good I dont know how to test the rear one? And what do you mean by roll them swap them with one another?
