i got killed by a golf!
what a sleeper it was an AWD supercharged 4.7L V-6... yes it was an engine swap. he got about 3 car lengths on me.

4.7L v-6? i didn't kno they made those (but don't mind me, i kno jack bout bigger displacement motors)

sorry, but i don't believe it.
sounds like it'd be a jeep engine, which wouldn't fit easily at all in that car... i don't believe that at all...

beleive it or not it's true. he pulled into a gas station down the road and i followed him because i was so impressed i asked if he would show me what was under the hood. that is what he said he had. he might have been bullshitting me but i know that is what he said he had. along with 3 1/2" exhaust all the way back.

they aren't selling them yet that is what confused me when he said it was an AWD v-6.
yes i did see it. it was deffinatly a supercharged v-6 there wasn't ANY room for expansion left in there and he said he had a custom hood made to fit the engine in there.

It was probably Vtec too!!
There is no way that anybody with sense would put a bigass 4.7L engine into a small Golf, it would imbalance the front/rear weight ratio far too greatly. Not to mention all the frame welding that it would require to hold the engine, and drivetrain. Oh, and if he said it was AWD, then you know for sure he was lying. No way a 4.7L engine in the front bay could also be a AWD car, the engine would have to have been dropped lower in the frame then a FWD drivetrain layout should allow. Now again all things are possible, but that just sound stupid, with the money he spent on doing all that he could have had a smaller engine making same amounts of power while retaining handling charachteristics.

They do some crazy things with Golfs the Usual is a Twin VR6 engine'd golf but 4.7 liter V6 supercharged ? sounds mental I'm slightly skeptical about the displacement but the supercharged bit sounds alrite.
