Passenger window issues!!!
Brought my passenger window down today on my AWD 2002 Astro and heard a big crunch sound. Took the door apart to find out what was going on and found the track that the window sits in is completely rotten. Everything else is fine except for that track. Can I replace just the track or do I need to replace the whole mechanism? If I can replace just the track - where can I get one? Just dealer or do they make it aftermarket??

Is this the metal "C" channel with felt inside it? If it is, you'll probably need to go see Mr. Goodwrench on that. Haven't seen aftermarket ones, but who knows, somebody might make 'em. Probably be a waste of time going to the boneyard, liable to get something just as bad as what you have now.

Yes, it is the track with the felt inside. I could not believe that it was completely rotten but the rest of the system is all good!

Yup, Government Motors should be able to order it for you.

I hope rest of the system is completely fine. is it only the track. in that case you can get only the track. and some oiling on the windows.
