I think it would be extremely difficult seeing that a maxima is FWD, but saying that, it could be done, just wouldnt be worth it. Lots of money.

why not find the bluebird ssr awd drivetrain...

sr20det awd altima (bluebird is altima)...

that would be badass...

the rb motors are long, and you'd need to move the firewall, increase the size of the trans/exh tunnel for fitment, cut out the trunk floor, build a new subframe to get the rwd setup in there, narrow the track of the rear, and maybe the front (if you use skyline driveline parts)...

have fun.

tell me how hard it is to drive with only one arm and one leg, b/c it's going to cost you the other 2...

what do you mean bluebird is altima you can use either BB or GTiR no difference but you couldnt use the AWD tranny either unless you wanted to pay the arm and leg deal but ive been doing alot of reseaching for the GTiR in my sentra and talked to alot of mechanics that say its a direct swap, except with any SR20DET they are illegal, no o2 sensor is what ive heard for the GTiR & BB

The Stage's are simply Skylines wrapped in a Cefiro based Wagon body.
Hence the Stega RS is infact a wagon versin of the GTR.
Theres already a few running around where I live. Very nice cars, all the power and performance of a GTR, with some functional interior space.

The short version? A lot!
There is so much to change over it would hardly be worth it unless you building either a race car or show car, or you have money to burn.

If you don't mind the looks of the car, you could probably swap an RB into a 1st gen Maxima. They were produced from '81-'84, and are rwd. The first Maxima was very similar to the Z at the time, even using the same engine IIRC. Since people are swapping RBs into the old Zs, why not the old Max?

That sounds damn stupid to me.... but im not the type to shoot down a half baked idea withought facts behinds it. the maximas engine and mounts for mounting that engine don't even face the same direction of any car with an RB. also, the maxima has no tunnel incorporated into it's design for a driveshaft and rear diff.

just buy a damn skyline, lol... race musclecar guys, they wouldn't guess the difference from it and a civic.
