Battery light

I just cleaned out my WHOLE engine bay. I used degraser and water just about EVERYwhere. I did put twp bag on the alternater. but now when I start my car my battery light won't go off. I check the connections and they are good. could it be my alternater? if it is my alternater , is the D15 alternater the same as the D16z6 alternater? help me out what should I check

try tappin on the alt. with a hammer while its idling and see if the light goes out, It doesn't fix the problem, but it gave me two weeks of drivin without my battery light coming on, if it comes down to it try auto adventure, www.partsadventure.com i got mine there for $35 dollars on exchange with a month gaurantee, i think they ship if you dont live locally. Good luck!

I first saw the 'negative earth' on my '69 MGB. We could do a whole thread on translations for boots, bonnets, petrol and 'saloon'.
I'm just giving you shit, Jim. The British and the Americans are indeed two people separated by a common language.

PS-If I could ever figure out how to use those damn smiley icons, maybe everyone would know when I'm giving 'em a hard time.
