pipeline burst

Today at about 2:30PM, a natural gas line exploded near my house. It didn't combust, and nobody was injured except for probably a squirrel that was sitting in the forest near where it exploded.

The same damn company that owns that pipeline made my neighbor get rid of all of his parts cars because they were near it. Actually, they bitched to the city, and the city made him do it. In any case, that's a fine example of karma at work. I feel bad for all the people without gas, but I feel worse for my neighbor who had to get rid of the junk he loved. This town's politics are wack, I'm moving out.

well that's pretty gay If I do say so myself, but the city must have had a reason for having him get rid of it. Perhaps they felt it was a danger. Still, that does suck.

Those zoning laws need to be looked at before moving in and keeping up on what people want to do in the area behooves everyone.

As for the explosion, I am glad nobody was hurt. Do you know what the cause was?

31 year old pipeline.. very old..

the funny thing is that I was smelling gas from that area about 2 days prior. it must have had a leak, and then just exploded.

How sad, I know of somebody who had many very rare cars, in various conditions (from parts to perfectly driveable) in his backyard, he has a fence, but the nieghbors still complained that he had too many cars, one day the nieghbors kids went into his backyard and starting smashing up all the cars - then the nighbors called the town saying that he had wrecked autos in his backyard and that is was an eyesore! and the town made him get rid of most of them! a couple collectors bought some of them, but alot just went to the scrapper - this happened a long time ago but it still makes me angry.

I will always be angry about that. Stupid selfish neighbors have no concern for anyone but themselves.
